What you'd do
- Develop an understanding of how aircraft engines operate as a system and how they are validated for use in the commercial and military applications
- Develop an initial understanding of the engine system, including aero/functional, mechanical & engine control
- Build knowledge and skills to develop engine test procedures and analyze engine test data
- Engineering Interns at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging, meaningful, and impactful projects across our business.
- Our intern program seeks to help you develop an understanding of the aerospace industry and learn about our company and its operations.
What they want
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Science and Technology.
- Candidates must be actively enrolled in an ABET‑accredited program through the completion of the internship session
- Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
- Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
- Experience demonstrating results focus, teamwork, communication skills, analytical thinking, adaptability, and continuous learning
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
