What you'd do
- Performs engineering work and applied research, development, and design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.
- Develops, designs, and tests mechanical components and systems.
- Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines to minimize disruption.
- Participates in technical preparations for new product development and implementation to ensure new products meet the required specifications.
- Operates CAD software to design components.
- Completes drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process.
- Consults with engineers, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders on existing and potential engineering projects or products.
- Produces products according to specifications using the most cost effective and efficient means.
What they want
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software such as NX, Catia, Creo, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Autodesk
- Must have a minimum of 45 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook)
- Experience with engineering drawings
- Experience working on cross-functional teams
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience
