The Role:
Our site in Decatur, TX is seeking a Production Scheduler Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
The Production Scheduler Co-Op/Intern will support manufacturing operations by assisting with production scheduling, order prioritization, and capacity planning activities. The role will help maintain accurate production schedules, monitor schedule adherence, and identify potential material or resource constraints that could impact delivery performance. This position will also support reporting and data analysis to improve visibility to key operational metrics and drive continuous improvement.
What you'd do
- Assist in developing and maintaining daily and weekly production schedules.
- Monitor production progress and update schedules based on changing priorities.
- Review open orders and help prioritize work to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Identify material shortages, capacity constraints, and other scheduling risks.
- Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams to resolve schedule issues.
- Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ERP system.
- Track and report key performance indicators such as Schedule Compliance and On-Time Shipment.
- Support production planning meetings by preparing reports and schedule updates.
- Analyze production data and recommend opportunities to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scheduling, planning, and operational performance.
