Assist Electrical Engineers with multiple tasks and projects to gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of Engineering.
What you'd do
- Support Electrical Engineers in the design and integration of vehicle control/wire harness development.
- Under close supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
- Under close supervision, works on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
- Select parts or components for quality conscious design, i.e. weight, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
- Support Senior Engineers with processing engineering information through change notices, change proposals, and the creation of thorough print documentation.
- Use 3D modeling software (Windchill) integrated with analytical circuit software to develop wire harnesses.
- Consult with other engineering or business support disciplines internal as well as suppliers, or customers externally to find solutions to problems.

- Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Wire Harness design experience.
- Willingness to be hands on within various project phases, as needed
- This role combines office-based administrative duties with physical activity in field or production environments.
- In the office setting, tasks may require extended computer use, sitting, and attending meetings.
- Field or floor work may involve walking across various terrains or shop floors, standing, moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels.
