Job Description
Job Summary:
Organizes and handles a variety of logistics issues and duties that involve but are not limited to supply chain services, inventory control, material handling, import-export licensing, and shipment of products. Evaluates customer support and field services commitments to ensure customer requirements are met.
What you'd do
- Process shipments using the ERP system.
- Process shipments through the local and global Export systems.
- Ensuring proper documentation and compliance with customs regulations for international shipments.
- Arrange, schedule, book, and coordinate logistics activities, including quoting/negotiating rates with carriers to meet delivery deadlines.
- Monitor the status of shipments throughout the delivery process and providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings, coordinating with relevant parties like freight forwarders and customs to comply with all necessary export documentation and regulations.
- May assist in generating reports on key logistics metrics like delivery times, inventory levels, and shipping cost.
- Stores articles in an orderly and accessible manner in bins, on floor, or on shelves in warehouse or other areas, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
- Cuts stock to size to fill order. May move, transport, or distribute stock or supplies to other department and/or amongst production workers.
- Communicate with shippers, customers, and internal staff to ensure shipping information is gathered and executed properly.
