Summer 2027 Intern
An internship with AmFam Group is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10-to-14-week program that starts in mid to late May and ends in August. During your internship, you’ll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You’ll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching. Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam Group office.
Compensation Minimum: $25.00

What you'd do
- Develop an understanding of the organization’s business environments, corporate culture and structure to support work initiatives.
- Open to and support new ideas, systems and procedures. Generate creative ideas and actions in response to changing situations.
- Build and develop quantum computing applications to address business problems.
- Assist with data cleaning and preparation.
- Present project results to management and/or department personnel.
- Stay up to date on current quantum computing trends through research and seminars.

- This experience is held in person at our Madison, WI Headquarters or one of our AmFam core locations to help you connect with our mission, meet key team members and build relationships that support your growth.
- At times, sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.
What they want
- Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2027 or later.
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
- Major/program must align with internship role.
- Solid understanding of Hybrid Quantum-classical methods (e.g., VQA's) and Quantum Machine learning.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with SKLearn.
- Experience with Cirq, Qiskit, Tensor Networks for quantum computing, or the like.
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP is helpful.
