As an actuary in Guardian’s Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP), you will develop a thorough understanding of our products and how your job responsibilities contribute towards achieving the goals of Guardian. The program also focuses on developing versatile future leaders with cross-functional business acumen and leadership skills. You will assist in performing financial and non-financial analysis and make recommendations consistent with Guardian’s goals regarding growth and profitability.
What you'd do
- Hybrid - 3 days in office located in Bethlehem, PA; Hudson Yards, NYC; Holmdel NJ, Stamford, CT; Pittsfield MA or Boston MA. 2 days WFH.
What they want
- Bachelor’s degree in a mathematics-based field
- Regularly taking actuarial exams to pursue the Actuarial Fellow designation in the Society of Actuaries
- A minimum of two years of prior work experience in the actuarial field
- Proficient in MS Excel as well as experience in using actuarial modeling / data visualization software
- Ability to communicate pricing analyses to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to contribute to multiple projects with multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to synthesize sophisticated informationPreferred Qualifications
