What you'd do
- Support transmission and substation project scoping, development, and documentation activities for the Integrated System Planning (ISP) team.
- Assist engineers with collecting, organizing, and analyzing planning, operational, and engineering data used for system studies and project evaluations.
- Participate in the review of transmission and substation planning studies, project estimates, and engineering reports.
- Collaborate with planners, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to track project progress and support project development efforts.
- Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and project status updates for internal meetings and planning activities.
- Gain experience with utility planning processes, electric power system operations, and the development of projects that support system reliability and customer needs.
What they want
- Current student, Junior or higher
- Enrolled in an ABET accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering (plus for power systems engineering program) or Computer Science
- Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commuting to the designated work location in-person, per our hybrid work policy.
