What you'd do
- Assist design, systems and project engineers in the department on various projects that may include some of the following
- Review / evaluation of engineering schematics, drawings, parts lists, and requirements specifications
- Working with computer aided design (CAD) models.
- Working with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) models
- Extracting, processing, and analyzing product-generated data.
- Working with software simulations to help diagnose or maintain our product systems.
- Review of vendor product performance and capability information to help select components used for designs.
- Performing various engineering calculations to assess design capability or operational performance.
- Processing and/or tracking status of engineering changes or product quality tasks.
- Participating in integrated product development team meetings.
What they want
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- Experience with CAD
- Ability to read drawings and schematics
- Experience working on a team
- Familiarity with use of technical requirements and specifications
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative, drive, and willingness to learn
