Our site in Round Rock, TX is seeking an Analytical Quality Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
Our site in Round Rock, Texas is seeking an Analytical Quality Engineering Co-Op to join our MS Analytical Quality team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to run from January through June.
In this role, you will support the Lab Harmonization Initiative by evaluating current quality-system practices across MS analytical laboratories and identifying opportunities to improve standardization, cross-site visibility, and data-driven review workflows.
What you'd do
- Assess current naming conventions used for work instructions, MSA refreshes, validation documents, and related quality records across MS sites.
- Identify inconsistencies, duplication, and opportunities for alignment across documentation, LTS, internal audit, and KPI tracking practices.
- Develop a proposed documentation standardization framework with examples, recommended naming rules, and implementation considerations.
- Assess internal auditing practices across MS sites and identify opportunities to standardize audit documentation, tracking, and reporting approaches.
- Assess LTS programs and associated documentation practices across MS sites and identify opportunities for standardization.
- Evaluate potential AI-assisted workflow opportunities, such as data review and validation workflows
- Partner with analytical quality, laboratory, MQE, and cross-site stakeholders to gather inputs and translate findings into clear recommendations.
- Currently enrolled student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Quality Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
- Coursework or demonstrated interest in basic chemistry, analytical chemistry, statistics, data analysis, quality systems, process improvement, or technical documentation.
