Generac’s Internship Program is designed to provide students with real-world experience in a supportive and innovative environment.
What they want
- Currently pursuing a BS degree in computer science, data science, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
- Understanding or working knowledge of discrete manufacturing workflows
- Exposure to MES, ERP, supply chain systems, or industrial data platforms
- Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python visualization libraries
- Experience preparing analytical summaries and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of data pipeline concepts including ingestion, transformation, storage, and analysis
- Proficiency in data analysis and scripting languages such as Python, R, Julia, or similar languages
- Microsoft Office experience (including Excel).
- Proficient oral and written communication and able to write clearly and succinctly to get a message across.
- Ability to work FULL-TIME during the Summer – 40 Hour Week; Potential For Work Over Breaks
About Generac
Generac’s Internship Program is full-time (40 hours per week) from May/June to August, 2027. The program will be on-site at Generac’s Waukesha, WI (headquarters.) Generac’s Intern position is responsible to work with other engineers to fulfill special requests related to the digital solutions used in our manufacturing process.
