Job Summary
Interns are responsible for actively participating in HCSC’s formal internship program that leverages your skills, knowledge, and capabilities while providing meaningful experience supporting business objectives and member-focused solutions. Working closely with cross-functional teams in both business and technical areas, the Intern will contribute to project work, analyze information, and support the development of solutions that address organizational needs.
What you'd do
- Own components of project work and deliverables with guidance from an assigned mentor and manager.
- Conduct research, analyze data and information, and develop recommendations that inform real business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support departmental initiatives that improve business outcomes and the member and client experience.
- Develop and deliver a final internship presentation to department leadership covering the project, results, and recommendations.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company business and comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, and applicable compliance policies.
- Prior related technical internship or work experience is a plus.
- Volunteerism or leadership experience is a plus.
- Involvement in IT related Associations/Organizations or participation in relevant technical competitions is a plus.
- Interest in the healthcare payer industry or beginning a career in IT.
