Job Description
The Department of Computational, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cyber Engineering Technology (CET) beginning Spring/Summer 2027.
We seek an innovative educator and scholar whose expertise lies at the intersection of electronics, embedded systems, and cybersecurity.
What you'd do
- Teach undergraduate courses primarily in cyber engineering technology and electronics systems engineering technology. Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in cybersecurity and computer science as appropriate.
- Contribute to impactful research and mentoring of both undergraduate and graduate students.
- Contribute to the service mission of the university.
- An earned Ph.D. or Doctor of Engineering in Cyber-Engineering or a related field by the time of the appointment. The candidate’s expertise and experience must focus on the security of hardware, IoT, embedded or cyber-physical systems.
- Candidates with ABD status will be considered if the requirements for the Ph.D. degree are completed before the appointment begins (degree conferral may happen later).
- A commitment to teaching excellence, especially at the undergraduate level, using hands-on experiential learning methods.
- Demonstrated potential of scholarly activity with an ability to secure external funding.
