This is a full-time position with the Marshal's Office at the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C. What you'd do
- Under the Judiciary Act of 1867, Congress granted the Court authority to appoint a Marshal to oversee Courtroom operations, provide security for the Justices, and pay the Court's bills.
- The Marshal serves as the Court's chief security officer and facilities administrator, managing approximately 300 employees, including the Supreme Court Police Force.
- Interns in the Marshal's Office assist with performing a variety of duties to include internal mail services, sorting and filing of documents, and receiving and distributing packages using assigned vehicles.
- Assist with a variety of duties during official Court ceremonies.
