Student Trainee (Recreation Student Trainee)

What you'd do

• This position is part of the Pathways Internship Program and is located in the Recreation Department at an institution within the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP).
• Observes and provides assistance to the Recreation Supervisor / Supervisor of Education and the other recreation specialists in planning, organizing, advising on and administering recreation activities and programs which promote physical, creative and social development.
• Assists with developing and managing leisure-time and wellness activities, including hobby craft classes under, the Supervisor of Recreation / Supervisor of Education.
• Assists with the creation and maintenance of sports leagues and team rosters and explaining rules and procedures of various sports and recreational activities.
