What you'd do
- Perform Test Planning: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing
- Integrate Systems: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact. Evaluate test results for requirements compliance.
- Create/modify documentation in support of design reviews and in preparation for test events.
- Perform Platform Integration, Flight Test, Qualification, Design Verification Execution
- Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
- Perform Data Analysis: Conduct statistical and numerical analysis test data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
- Support Missions: Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
What they want
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- Academic or internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic equipment
- Experience in troubleshooting technical issues with electronics in an academic or internship setting, or as part of a hobby
- Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers
- Experience with using telemetry data collection equipment to capture real time data and/or real time monitoring
- Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, and communications protocols
- Experience with reading and integrating software routines with hardware/electronics; C/C++/C# preferred
- Experience with instrumentation and collection of large data sets, including the application of scripting or automation to data collection and analysis
