A Corporate Accounting internship at Fidelity is designed for students interested in developing a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting key accounting processes and partnering with accounting professionals responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of a large and complex organization.
This internship provides exposure to core accounting functions, including monthly close activities, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
What you'd do
- Supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities
- Assisting with preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Performing account reconciliations and researching variances
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Supporting process improvement and documentation initiatives
- Assisting with accounting projects related to systems, reporting, and operational efficiency
- Collaborating with accounting professionals across multiple business areas
- Defining and developing operational procedures for Accounting’s key process
- Leveraging technology, including automation tools, to streamline and automate manual accounting processes
- Support transformation initiatives within our investment accounting COE
