The Research and Development Engineering Co-op role is aimed at developing the skills of engineers and researchers in the field of medical device development. The goal of the program is to provide a structure where participants are introduced to the equipment, methods, and concepts of interventional cardiology, clinical outcomes, and device design/development.
The student will report directly to the Cardiovascular System Engineering group manager and work with the Research Engineering Team on characterization methods, basic technology research, prototype development, and group brainstorming/problem-solving session related to medical devices used by interventional cardiologists and radiologists.
