The Role:
Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking an EHS Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full time, 6 months in duration.
The EHS Co-Op will play a key role in supporting and strengthening site Environmental, Health & Safety programs. This position will assist with regulatory inspections and audits, contribute innovative ideas that drive continuous improvement initiatives, and proactively support employees and leaders at all levels in creating a safer workplace.
What you'd do
- Learn about day in the life of EHS
- Assist in regulatory inspections. Engage with all levels of the organization
- Assist with trainings, new hire orientation, proactive engagement activities. Support Continuous improvement of EHS.
- Data management and record keeping incident investigations and corrective and preventive actions implementation
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of environmental, health, and safety principles through coursework, projects, or previous work experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing documentation, records, and compliance-related activities.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
