Job Description
Teledyne Technologies is currently seeking an energetic and results driven Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Mechanical Design Team at our Miamisburg, Ohio site.
What you'd do
- Assisting members of the technical staff to generate designs and support development activities for Electronic Safe and Arm Devices (ESADs or ESAFs), Ignition Safety Devices (ISDs) and other weapon system components.
- Participate in performance testing and manufacturability assessment of products.
- May be asked to perform detail design, tolerance studies, and selection of components while taking shock, vibration, thermal stress considerations into account.
- Prepare engineering drawings.
- Writes engineering reports and assists in the preparation of technical proposals.
- Participates in specification reviews, design reviews, pre-production builds, debug, and product testing.
- Plans and determines test procedures.
- Conducts laboratory experiments and investigations, as well as correlates and interprets observations and results.What You Need
- Working towards a degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline is required.
- Prefer experience in the design of small mechanical assemblies.
