Job Description

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated intern to join our IT Division as an IT Document Automation Software Developer for the summer. Responsibilities include developing on-demand and batch company forms using Inspire and Documaker that include automated features. This position primarily involves visual development and automation of various forms including light scripting for advanced functionality. A technical, organized, and detail-oriented person would be a good fit for this role.

Students must be working toward a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.
Customer service experience is a plus
Experience with basic programming and scripting such as Java and Javascript, XML, document generation, PDF, Postscript, batch processing, etc. are a plus.
Enthusiasm for driving improvement by finding and implementing solutions to new challenges
Must be able to learn and effectively use tools and techniques as practiced, acquired, or adopted within the IT Division
Ability to independently learn to use new software.
Ability to effectively communicate to team members and management.
