What you'd do
- Costs and resource utilization analyses
- Treatment pattern assessments
- Effectiveness assessments
- Reimbursement policy analysesOn a day-to-day basis, you may participate in one or more of the following areas
- Research design
- Large database management and analysis, primarily using SAS
- Development of research proposals
- Identifying and finalizing appropriate ICD, HCPCS, and CPT codes for research engagements
- Development of study reports and/or conference submissions for dissemination of research findings
- Addressing logistics and implementation issues associated with research studies
What they want
- Graduate student currently working toward a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent degree in HEOR or a related discipline
- Experience in SAS programming is required
- Knowledge of SQL is preferred
- Demonstrated record of scientific publication preferred, but not required
- Rising sophomore, junior, or senior at the time of the internship preferred
- Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future.
- Understanding of analytical concepts and research methods related to HEOR
- Ability to communicate complex research concepts effectively in both written and verbal form
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
