What you'd do

  • Work within a team of stress engineers in support of new product development and certification.
  • Perform basic structural analysis, with guidance from stress engineers, utilizing classical analysis and finite element analysis methods to demonstrate structural integrity of cargo handling system products
  • Support the generation of component applied loads and aircraft interface loads
  • Develop structural analysis documentation in support of product certification
  • Support structural testing for product certification

What they want

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Catia or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred)
  • Coursework in Statics and Mechanics of Materials
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook)
