CO-OP/Intern Cycle: January - June 2027

POSITION SUMMARY:
Audax is looking for a dynamic, motivated AI Engineer CO-OP to join the business solutions team.
What you'd do
- Assist with designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling Audax’s AI ecosystem.
- Coordinate with internal IT professionals to scale AI infrastructure within the company’s cloud enterprise.
- Play an integral role in proof-of-concept development for different function area use cases within the firm.
- Assist with implementation of AI governance policies; this includes security, documentation, and privacy.
- Provide data validation and data quality assessments through coordination with the firm’s internal data engineers.
- Code within an IDE environment (VS Code) with Python, SQL, and Git.
- Utilize cloud environment services to assist with AI application development and deployment.
- Understand and experiment with modern AI architectures for experimentation and use case development.
- Support coordination across different firm function areas for information gathering, updates, and user testing.
- Experience with Python, SQL, and Git.
What they want
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Computational Engineering, Computer Science, or another related field.
- Experience with at least two of the following required: traditional machine learning, natural language processing, transfer learning/fine-tuning, predictive analytics, agentic frameworks, AI output evaluation, and data engineering.
- Strong written and oral communication skills as well as critical thinking skills required to operate in an efficient and meaningful way with all levels of the organization
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (including GitHub)
- Experience with Agentic SDKs, tools, evaluations and Chatbot Integrations
- Experience with Snowflake
- Previous co-op or full-time experience in a related field
