Structures Intern Engineer - Summer 2027

What they want

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural elements and systems, including bridges, retaining walls, and other infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to evaluate project requirements, constraints, and design criteria.
• Utilize structural analysis software such as MDX, LEAP Bridge, CSiBridge , or similar tools to perform structural calculations and verify design integrity.
• Support the preparation of design drawings, project estimates, specifications, and construction documents.
• Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data, assess existing conditions, and evaluate design alternatives.
• Assist in the development of design reports and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including roadway, traffic, drainage, utility and geotechnical engineers , to ensure seamless integration of structural design elements.
• Stay updated on industry codes, regulations, and best practices related to structural design.
• Contribute to quality control processes, including reviewing design calculations, plans, and specifications.
• Participate in design review meetings and provide support to project teams as needed.
