What you'd do
- Meaningful Work: Contribute within the Artificial Intelligence track by building impactful technical solutions that drive innovation across The Cigna Group while strengthening your real-world skills.
- Learn by Collaborating: Learn by doing alongside peers, mentors, and cross-functional partners through hands-on projects, recruiting support, innovation efforts, community initiatives, and onboarding experiences.

What they want
- Must be currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on machine learning methodologies and applications.
- Foundational understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, with experience applying them through coursework, projects, research, or prior experience.
- Working knowledge of Python and exposure to machine learning or generative AI libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar tools.
- Experience in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data visualization using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib to prepare data sets for model training.
- Exposure to model evaluation, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation, large language models, or responsible AI practices through coursework, projects, research, or prior experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with big data technologies and platforms such as Apache Spark or Hadoop is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights through machine learning applications.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts and findings to nontechnical audiences and foster collaboration across teams.
- A proactive attitude toward continuous learning and staying current on machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
- A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.
