As a Computer Science Engineering Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, the projects assigned will vary based on the intern’s education level and plant location, but will generally reflect the duties outlined below.
Summary of Responsibilities:
What you'd do
- Develop and enhance software tools that support manufacturing and automation processes.
- Maintain, organize, and improve existing code libraries and applications.
- Assist with HMI development, upgrades, and rebuild projects.
- Support automation and process control initiatives through programming and system integration activities.
- Create and update technical procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
- Participate in troubleshooting, testing, and validation of software and automation systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Document project results and provide recommendations for future enhancements.
- Other duties as assigned.
