The EHS Specialist works under the direct supervision of the site EHS Manger to plan, direct, and implement Amcor’s environmental, health and safety program to ensure a safe and incident-free work environment.
Roles and responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
What you'd do
- Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.
- Prepare monthly accident summary reports.
- Assist with incident investigations
- Conduct and/or coordinates employee safety and environmental training programs.
- Perform daily safety walks and assist with identifying and correction of work place hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Work with and assist on-site teams with risk assessment.Assist in maintaining OSHA 300 Logs and relevant reports.
- Assist in scheduling training courses/classes for in-house training opportunities.
- Understand Emergency Procedure and assist in scheduled drills.
- Assist in the Safety Committee and First Responder tasks.
- Assist in Management of Change procedures.Assist in workers compensation reporting.

- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Associate or Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related field strongly preferred.
