The Role:
Our site in Danbury, CT is seeking a Research and Development Engineer/Scientist Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
In this role, you will work closely with a team of scientists and engineers in the development and characterization of new products used by semiconductor manufacturers.
What you'd do
- Design and develop equipment used for experimental setups to demonstrate proof of concept
- Automate existing processes to enhance repeatability and to acquire the necessary data to characterize it
- Develop standard operating procedures for analytical equipment
- Identify and work with suppliers to procure materials and equipment
- Organize and document existing processes to improve development efficiency
- Develop and maintain documentation for R&D, including experimental documentation, data logging, and processing
- Undergraduate engineers or scientists in their junior or senior year of an accredited college or university in good academic standing (GPA 3.0 or higher)
- People who enjoy working as part of a collaborative team
- A desire to work with your hands in the laboratory building equipment and carrying out experiments
- Organized and detail oriented with the ability to clearly communicate technical information both verbally and through report formats
