What you'd do
- Collaborate with members of the UX team to develop the research that will inform the creation of user personas and journey maps.
- Conduct a variety of different design research activities, including quantitative surveys, qualitative interviews, persona construction, solution validation, usability tests, heuristic evaluations, etc.
- Work closely with your fellow UX researchers to identify research opportunities, develop research plans, recruit participants, execute the research, and present your findings to a cross-functional team .
- Communicate research findings to product and business partners.
- Support the creation of design deliverables (e.g., user flows, journey maps, and/or conceptual prototypes) and documentation to help gather feedback on proposed solutions from internal stakeholders and users.
- Collaborate with product and development teams to understand concept feasibility and support design hand-offs.
- At least Junior standing in a post-secondary school majoring in User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Social Science, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- A portfolio that showcases specific examples of your research abilities (telling the story of the user needs, success metrics, and what you learned along the way.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to help build empathy for users and clearly share research findings.
- Ability to analyze research data and identify actionable insights.
