The Ransom Center is an internationally renowned humanities research library and museum at The University of Texas at Austin. Its extensive collections provide unique insight into the creative process of writers and artists, deepening our understanding and appreciation of literature, photography, film, art, and the performing arts.
What you'd do
- Digitize collection materials, including flat and bound materials and photographs, to established standards using imaging capture equipment.
- Process images using appropriate software such as Photoshop and Capture One.
- Enter metadata into the database.
- Page books from the HRC stacks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Students must be enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities
