Job Description Summary

The Military Spouse Employment Partnership is a Department of Defense initiative that connects military spouses with hundreds of vetted, partner employers offering remote, flexible, and transferable career opportunities. Authorized under 10 U.S.C. § 1784 (Employment opportunities for military spouses) and overseen by the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (10 U.S.C. § 136). MSEP operates as a key component of the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) initiative. Under the Department of Defense's Military Spouse Career Accelerator Pilot the Department of Defense (DoD) funds and pays the stipend for participating military spouses during their 12-week fellowship. MSEP participants are not eligible for compensation from GE Aerospace.

What they want

  • You must be the spouse of an active duty, Reserve, or National Guard member serving in the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, or Space Force.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • You must be "career-ready," meaning you already possess the relevant educational background, professional certifications, or work history necessary for the specific corporate track you want to pursue
  • You must be able to commit to a full 12-week schedule, which typically requires a Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM commitment (for both in-person and remote roles)
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years Sourcing & Buying-Procurement experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience – Supply Chain Management and Sourcing experience
