What You’ll Actually Do

As a Land Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience working within an asset team in one of Chevron’s dynamic business segments. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful, real-world projects with direct business impact.
What you'd do
- Develop a strong understanding of the upstream and downstream oil and gas business through a summer-long Land project, along with smaller assignments to provide exposure to multiple Land teams.
- Gain insight into Chevron’s operations, people, and culture including exposure to both traditional oil and gas and New Energies.
- Support negotiations with external partners and landowners and assist in drafting agreements related to oil and gas exploration and production activities.
- Perform title research and analysis for exploration, development, workover, and plug and abandonment wells.
- Provide Land support to multidisciplinary teams to help stakeholders make informed, strategic business decisions on agreements and land ownership matters.
- Interact with federal and state agencies on oil and gas regulatory issues.
- Work closely with a dedicated mentor and buddy who will provide guidance, support, and professional development throughout the summer.
- Present your project and key learnings to senior leadership at the conclusion of the internship
