What you'd do

  • You will interpret specification requirements and communicate with Collins Operations sites and suppliers as required.
  • You will evaluate hardware for compliance to an engineering drawing to ensure all material and special process related requirements are met.
  • You will write Formal Engineering Reports to document findings
  • You will do short term project management and collaboration with Collins engineering teams to solve materials and process challenges.
  • You will learn training and skill development to support RRCA and process improvement activities.
  • You will learn to apply knowledge learned through academics to validate hardware and/or process conforms to related specification requirements.
  • You will learn to interpret aerospace material drawings and specifications.
  • You will be trained to operate and interpret results from state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation.

What they want

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Materials Science or Chemical Engineering or an applicable Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Proficient knowledge using Microsoft Office products.
  • Materials Science/Chemical Engineering major.
  • Currently enrolled with at least 30 credits hours earned toward a bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or related field from an accredited college or university.
