Compensation Overview
The hourly salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual hourly rate for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
What you'd do
- The ALDP internship has a wide variety of actuarial assignments across numerous Business Lines in areas such as: Pricing and Ratemaking, Reserving, Claim, Risk Analysis, Product Management, Corporate/Enterprise, and Data Science.
- The ALDP Summer Internship Program provides qualified students an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand business experience, receive valuable on-the-job training, and learn about the many actuarial and analytic positions available in the insurance industry.
- Interns are provided exposure to all levels of management and have the chance to collaborate and network with other development programs during business workshops, work assignments, and social events.
- You will learn to leverage modern analytical and artificial intelligence (AI) tools/platforms with the ability to apply critical thinking to evaluate limitations related to quality and accuracy of AI-assisted outputs.
- ALDP interns are viewed as a primary source of future candidates for entry level actuarial and analytic careers within the company. They receive challenging work assignments that add value and impact the business.
- Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
- Completion of one or more actuarial exams.
- Suggested degree majors are Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
