• MVAHCS is a core teaching affiliate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine; medical students, residents, and fellows rotate at our facility.
• Protected time for research and administration can be offered for exceptional candidates.
• The candidate must be committed to quality patient care and teaching related to GI and liver disorders.
• For the advanced endoscopy specialist, proficiency in EUS, and ERCP is required.
• Third space endoscopy is desirable but not mandatory.
• Excellent facilities and equipment are in place.
• Our GI service provides some remote care through telehealth and video visits.
• The physician will participate in the education and supervision of house staff including GI fellows, residents, and medical students.

• Duties include, but are not limited to: Works in out-patient clinics as assigned for treatment of gastroenterological/liver-related and other conditions.
• Performs History and physicals on all assigned patients.
• Participates in (Gastro) Clinics and/or manages independent clinic.
• Provides Patient and family communication and education as necessary.
• Participates in education of medical and (Gastro) residents and nursing staff.
• Responds rapidly in emergency situations and keeps medical staff informed of all changes in a patients' condition.
• Consistently demonstrates expertise in diagnosing and treating (Gastro) patients and performing diagnostic tests.
• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday- 8:00 Am - 4:30 PM (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor.
• The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
