This position reports to:
Procurement Manager
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is onsite in Senatobia, Mississippi.

What you'd do
- Perform supply chain and procurement analyses using Excel to evaluate supplier performance, material costs, inventory trends, and sourcing opportunities, supporting data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Solicit and compare vendor quotations, gathered supplier information, and collaborated with cross-functional teams to identify cost-effective sourcing solutions while maintaining quality and delivery requirements.
- Conduct supplier and material assessments, including cost analyses, raw material evaluations, and cycle time reviews, to identify risks, optimization opportunities, and potential cost savings.
- Utilize SAP ERP to manage procurement activities, maintain purchasing records, track supplier data, and support daily sourcing and supply chain operations.
- Apply procurement standards, tools, and processes to support quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability objectives while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and business ethics requirements during supplier interactions and negotiations.

- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university in the United States.
