We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented European Payroll Specialist to support the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll operations across multiple European countries. Reporting to the European Payroll Lead, you will work closely with HR, Finance, external payroll providers and employees to ensure timely payroll processing and an excellent employee experience.

What you'd do

  • Support the end-to-end payroll process for multiple European countries, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution.
  • Gather, validate, maintain, and upload payroll data, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Review payroll reports, reconcile payroll results, and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll completion.
  • Maintain payroll records, documentation, calendars, checklists, and process documentation in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Support compliance with local payroll legislation, tax regulations, statutory reporting obligations, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers and collaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to address payroll-related queries and issues.
  • Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and supporting documentation, including month-end payroll activities.
  • Participate in payroll projects, system implementations, upgrades, testing, and expansion initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, efficiency, and service delivery, and support the implementation of enhancements.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

What they want

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with European payroll processes
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, taxation, or employment regulations in one or more European countries.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
