The 3D DRAM Metals team is at the forefront of developing next-generation DRAM technologies, working at the intersection of advanced materials science, process engineering, and semiconductor manufacturing. Team members collaborate across fields to develop scalable solutions that enable future memory innovations.

Micron internships provide hands-on exposure to semiconductor process development and manufacturing technology.

What you'd do

  • Develop and optimize semiconductor processes to meet product requirements for physical and electrical performance.
  • Partner with multi-functional process and equipment engineering teams to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvements.
  • Perform root-cause analysis, failure-mode analysis, and experimental investigations to address process challenges and improve manufacturing outcomes.
  • Analyze statistical data from pilot-scale technology development manufacturing lines and communicate findings through technical reports and presentations.
  • Apply Artificial Intelligence and AI-Assisted tools, where appropriate, to enhance data analysis, process optimization, and engineering productivity.Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Ph.D. program, or equivalent advanced degree program, in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • Must not graduate before September 2027.
  • Demonstrated experience with experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of technical results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience applying root-cause analysis or model-based approaches to complex technical challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently while delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.Preferred Qualifications
