POSITION SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for the financial reporting and accounting for Audax Private Debt based in Boston. The Finance Associate is a key contributor to the Private Debt process and is responsible for the compliance and control processes related to several Private Debt Funds.
What you'd do
- Preparation and review of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, fund level returns and investor deliverables for various Private Debt funds
- Prepare monthly and quarterly MD&A on fund performance for senior management
- Review fund administrator’s work on various Private Debt funds
- Prepare and review capital calls and distributions
- Track and update the portfolio of investments for the various Private Debt funds
- Track interest payment receipts across portfolio team
- Daily cash management, monitoring, and reconciliation with the bank
- Take a lead role with the firm’s outside auditor in preparation/review of year-end audited financials
- Work with the Investor Relations team in preparing fundraising materials and in providing information for investor requests, including fund performance data, fee information and underlying portfolio financial information
- Work with the Tax team in preparing quarterly tax estimates as well as year-end tax allocations

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- Working towards CPA a plus
- 2-3 plus years of experience, including public accounting, preferably focusing on alternative investment asset managers
