Your colleagues will include internationally recognized experts in machine learning research as well as highly experienced finance and technology professionals. You will be working with strategies that are at the forefront of machine learning and statistical trading. The strategies have been carefully designed to generate non-correlated returns.
What you'd do
- Perform first level review of tax returns, Schedule K-1s, workpapers, and supporting schedules prepared by external advisors, summarizing and flagging items for Tax Manager review
- Assist in maintaining the tax compliance calendar, trackers, and supporting documentation across all entities, proactively flagging deadlines for annual filings, registrations, and tax notices to ensure timely, accurate compliance
- Help coordinate the collection, tracking, and review of tax documents and related investor requests
- Prepare ad-hoc special projects and tax-related requests from various investors with accuracy and timeliness
- Support tax process improvement through automation, documentation, and internal knowledge to increase efficiency
- Assist with researching tax issues and regulatory changes relevant to existing and future funds
- Provide support to the Fund Accounting team on various tasks during the off-peak tax season
What they want
- 1–3 years of tax experience, preferably at a Big 4 or national accounting firm
- Strong working knowledge of federal and state income tax compliance for partnerships (Form 1065) preferred; corporate (Forms 1120) experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of partnership taxation and related reporting
- Experience with both onshore (U.S.) and offshore (Cayman) fund structures is a plus
- Strong abilities in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Authorization to work in the United States
