Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
The Data Center Workload Engineering team evaluates how memory and storage products perform within complete data center environments. The team deploys customer-representative workloads across AI, databases, virtualization, and software-defined storage in production-class laboratory environments.
What you'd do
- Execute performance validation and benchmarking activities on enterprise servers, GPU-accelerated systems, and data center storage platforms using established test methodologies.
- Configure and run customer-representative workloads, including AI inference, databases, virtualization, checkpointing, or object storage environments.
- Collect, validate, and analyze system and device telemetry to ensure data quality, repeatability, and actionable performance insights.
- Develop or enhance Python-based automation tools for test setup, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Investigate and present findings on a defined performance engineering project, contributing code, documentation, and results back to the team.Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, with an expected graduation date after the internship concludes.
- Completed coursework in operating systems, computer architecture, systems programming, or closely related subjects.
- Demonstrated experience working in Linux environments, including command-line tools, file systems, processes, and basic system administration.
- Programming experience in Python, C, C++, or a comparable programming language.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including experience using AI Assisted coding tools to support software development and technical productivity.Preferred Qualifications
