We are hiring recent university graduates to grow the next generation of data analysts through our Analytics Development Program.
The Marketing Data Analyst (MDA) is a member of the internal analytics team focused on product analytics. This team’s primary function is to produce the analytical reports that are incorporated into Veeva Crossix products and shared with customers.
What this role is (and isn’t):
What it IS: A data analytics role. You will be part of our internal analytics team, focusing on backend report generation, quality control, and pressure-testing results. Using SQL, Excel, and our proprietary coding language, you will link marketing data to health data, transforming large datasets into core analytical reports embedded in Veeva Crossix products.
What you'd do
- Produce Analytics Reports: Own the end-to-end execution, rigorous quality control, and timely delivery of high-value, recurring analytical reports across a large portfolio.
- Link Complex Datasets: Connect marketing exposure data to massive, transactional healthcare datasets.
- Your data manipulation will provide the analytical foundation that helps pharmaceutical and life sciences companies optimize their marketing efforts and ultimately improve patient outcomes.
- Formulate Analytical Hypotheses: Transform complex client questions into hypotheses that are testable using SQL, Excel, and Crossix’s proprietary analytical coding language.
- Partner Internally with Client Services: Communicate the technical results and methodology of marketing campaign analyses to our Client Services teams, acting as the subject-matter expert on the underlying data logic.
- Master Modern Data Tools: Leverage a robust toolkit including SQL, advanced Excel, data visualization suites, and internal platforms to clean, manipulate, and present data effectively.
- Technical Foundation: Intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python, or a comparable coding language. You have a natural comfort with data structures and a knack for logical, step-by-step problem-solving.
- High Drive & Performance: A self-starter with a track record of excellence who thrives in a demanding and dynamic environment, and is hungry for rapid professional growth.
- Meticulous Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and a commitment to rigorous quality control. You take pride in catching small errors before they impact the final product.
- Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share technical insights and methodology with our internal client services teams.
- Academic Excellence: Bachelor’s degree (any major) with a 3.0 – 4.0 GPA, demonstrating the intellectual curiosity, time management, and work ethic necessary for a high-performance analytics career.
