Centific is a frontier AI data foundry that curates diverse, high-quality data, using our purpose-built technology platforms to empower the Magnificent Seven and our enterprise clients with safe, scalable AI deployment. Our team includes more than 150 PhDs and data scientists, along with more than 4,000 AI practitioners and engineers. We harness the power of an integrated solution ecosystem—comprising industry-leading partnerships and 1.8 million vertical domain experts in more than 230 markets—to create contextual, multilingual, pre-trained datasets; fine-tuned, industry-specific LLMs; and RAG pipelines supported by vector databases.
What you'd do
- Design and prototype data collection hardware: camera rigs, sensor mounts, teleoperation interfaces, end-effector and wrist-cam assemblies.
- Build recording and data-handling scripts (multi-camera capture, synchronization, sensor fusion) targeting HDF5 and LeRobot dataset formats.
- Integrate and evaluate off-the-shelf components: RGB-D cameras arrays, dexterous hands, teleoperation gloves, VR headsets.
- Support real-world data collection and model evaluation sessions on robot arms and humanoid platforms.
- 3D-print, assemble, wire, and bench-test prototypes alongside our lab technician.
- Document hardware specs, BOMs, and reproducible setup procedures.
- Required qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or completed a Master's (or PhD) in Robotics, ECE, ME, CS, or a related field.
- Proficient in Python; comfortable with Linux and version control.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of: ROS/ROS2, sensor integration, CAD (OpenSCAD/Onshape/SolidWorks), or 3D printing.
