Purpose
The Student Intern - Houseman plays a vital role in supporting the execution of events by assisting with the physical setup and breakdown of event spaces. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in event operations, logistics, and venue preparation. The intern will work closely with the Event Operations Team to ensure that all event environments are properly staged, safe, and aligned with client expectations.
What you'd do
- Arrange tables, chairs, staging, pipe and drape, signage, and decor according to event layouts.
- Assist with AV equipment placement under supervision.
- Ensure all materials are clean, functional, and safely positioned.
- Disassemble and store furniture, equipment, and decor post-event.
- Return items to designated storage areas in an organized manner.
- Assist with venue reset for next scheduled activity.
- Collaborate with full-time operations staff and other interns to meet setup timelines.
- Follow instructions and safety protocols during high-traffic or high-pressure moments.
- Provide courteous assistance to clients, vendors, and guests when appropriate.
