Summer 2027 Environmental Protection Intern
Summary:
Imagine stepping into the role of an Environmental Protection Intern at a large-scale manufacturing site where environmental compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence come together. In this position, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the operation of an industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant, giving you a firsthand look at how environmental systems protect natural resources while supporting manufacturing operations.
You'll work alongside experienced environmental professionals to monitor treatment processes, assess the reliability of critical equipment, and contribute to compliance programs that help ensure the site meets environmental regulations.

What they want
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Completed at least one year of undergraduate coursework prior to the start of the internship
- Strong interest in environmental compliance, sustainability, manufacturing operations, and industrial wastewater treatment
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and communicate findings effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.
- The candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.
