What you'd do
- Hands-on experience applying cybersecurity concepts to real technology environments and business challenges.
- Exposure to multiple areas of Information Security and an understanding of how they work together to protect an enterprise.
- Experience evaluating risks, investigating problems, documenting findings, and contributing to practical security solutions.
- Opportunities to strengthen skills in security analysis, cloud and infrastructure security, threat detection, automation, risk management, and technical problem-solving, depending on your assignment.
- Exposure to modern security tools, cloud environments, automation technologies, and security frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with Engineering, Infrastructure, Product, DevOps, and business teams.
- Mentorship and guidance from experienced Information Security professionals.
- A better understanding of potential career paths across Security Operations, Security Engineering, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, Threat Detection, Identity & Access Management, Governance, Risk & Compliance, and related cybersecurity fields.
What they want
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with curiosity about how technology works, how it can be compromised, and how it can be better protected.
- Foundational understanding of one or more areas such as networking, operating systems, cloud computing, cybersecurity concepts, or software development.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to investigating and solving problems.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical information and explain findings to others.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Curiosity about cybersecurity threats, technologies, and evolving security practices.
- Eagerness to learn new tools and concepts and contribute in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Coursework, labs, projects, or experience in cybersecurity, network security, cloud security, security operations, digital forensics, risk management, or secure software/infrastructure.
- Familiarity with security platforms or tools such as Splunk, ServiceNow, vulnerability scanners, or similar technologies.
