What you'd do
- Hardware Design: Assisting in the design of digital circuits for use in missile systems or other effector products, focusing on components like field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), and embedded processors.
- System Integration: Supporting the integration of digital hardware with other system components, such as software, sensors, and analog systems, to ensure seamless operation.
- Testing and Validation: Conducting laboratory testing and validation of digital designs, including signal integrity analysis, timing analysis, and debugging hardware issues.
- Collaboration: Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design requirements are met and the final product performs as intended.
- Documentation and Reporting: Preparing design documentation, test plans, and validation reports to communicate progress and ensure compliance with technical and program requirements.
- Mentorship and Skill Development: Participating in mentorship opportunities and training to enhance technical expertise and understanding of the defense industry's unique challenges.
What they want
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- Coursework in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, digital electronics, lab course work, PCB design and signal integrity.
- Class projects, professional internships, or academic research demonstrating the ability to apply technical coursework.
