We are seeking a Commodity & Utility Associate to help optimize energy, utility, and operational costs across our portfolio. You will work across energy procurement, utility management, infrastructure, and automation, with a strong focus on using data to drive better decisions and build scalable processes.
What you'd do
- Manage utilities and energy procurement: Monitor market signals and pricing trends, support electricity and natural gas contract execution, validate commercial terms, benchmark rates, audit utility bills, and track rebates and incentive programs.
- Drive OpEx optimization: Analyze operational expenses to identify leakage, discrepancies, and savings opportunities; investigate root causes and partner with cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions.
- Support power generation and smart infrastructure: Evaluate solutions such as BESS, generators, fuel cells, and microturbines for our EV/AV charging depot network, including vendor comparisons, technical assessments, and ROI analysis.
- Build scalable workflows: Automate recurring processes such as rate benchmarking, bill reconciliation, rebate tracking, leakage detection, and reporting using scripting, dashboards, and AI-assisted development tools.
- Manage vendors and commercial discussions: Lead vendor outreach, compare technical and commercial proposals, and support negotiations across pricing, contract terms, renewals, and termination clauses.
- Provide actionable insights: Maintain financial and operational trackers and translate complex data into clear recommendations for internal stakeholders and leadership.
