What you'd do
- You will support the design and fabrication of electrical and/or mechanical test fixtures.
- You will develop test artifacts including test plans, procedures, reports, and manuals.
- You will build and fabricate product prototypes and hardware.
- You will utilize laboratory/test equipment including universal testers, environmental chambers, vibration table, ovens, an icing wind tunnel, etc.
- You will work as part of an integrated team and receive technical guidance/input from other engineers and technicians.
- You will learn the function and details of components for ice protection, potable water systems, and specialty heated applications.
- You will learn aerospace design and test standards and how they apply to ice protection, potable water systems, and specialty heated applications.
- You will learn how MATLAB and LabVIEW are utilized in real world test setups to perform tests and collect test data.
What they want
- Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with MATLAB, LabVIEW, and CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor.
